Judge Registration Status

Judges are encouraged to register early so category assignments can be completed before the fair.

Judging Process

1. Complete judge registration.(online form)
2. Read the Judges' Handbook
3. Receive judging assignment and category information.
4. Attend the online Judging orientation
5. Attend the morning judges' orientation session.
6. Review judging criteria and score sheets.
7. Interview assigned students.
8. Evaluate projects using the judging rubric.
9. Participate in category discussions and ranking.
10. Submit final scores and recommendations.
11. Attend the awards ceremony.

Important Information for Judges

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before orientation.
• Wear your judge badge at all times.
• Review assigned projects before interviews begin.
• Ask students questions about their research and methodology.
• Focus on scientific thinking, creativity, and communication skills.
• Maintain confidentiality of judging discussions.
• Submit score sheets on time.
• Notify organizers immediately if a conflict of interest exists.
