What Happens on Fair Day
A full day of science, creativity, and discovery.
Students arrive early to set up their projects. Judges meet with students throughout the morning. After judging is complete, parents and the general public are invited to view the projects. The day concludes with an awards ceremony celebrating student achievement.
Student Schedule
What students should expect.
- 8:00–9:00 AM — Student arrival & project setup
- 9:00–12:00 PM — Judging sessions
- 12:00–12:30 PM — Lunch break
- 12:30–2:30 PM — Public viewing and second round judging
- 3:30–5:00 PM — Awards ceremony
Parent & Public Viewing
Parents and the general public may view the projects once judging is complete. This ensures fairness and allows judges to speak with students without interruption.
What to Bring
Be prepared for a great day.
- Your completed project and display board
- Any required equipment or materials
- Lunch, snacks, and water
- Backup copies of notes or digital files
- A positive attitude and readiness to present
Dress for Success
Students should dress neatly and comfortably. Professional attire is encouraged but not required. The goal is to present confidently and respectfully.
Code of Behaviour
All participants must follow the QRSTF Code of Conduct. Respectful behaviour, honesty, and safety are essential. Projects must be primarily the student’s own work.
